Laura McKain, MD is a board certified Ob/Gyn physician who was in private practice for a dozen years before transitioning to the pharmaceutical industry more than 18 years ago.  She has worked at  large and small contract research organizations and pharma/biotech companies  across a number of roles and therapeutic areas.  She has provided leadership to projects culminating in the approval of two new pharmaceutical products.

Enthusiastic about her own career transition, Laura founded the Facebook Physician Nonclinical Career Hunters Group which has grown to more than  30,000 members.  It has supported physicians transitioning away from clinical medicine to a variety of industries.   She has founded this group to lend her experience in the industry to physicians aiming for  a career in pharma-biotech.
